Cohorts on Sabbatical

Hello, friends and foes near and far!

After a huge effort last year to offer six cohorts, both online and in person, our staff is exhausted and our school is broke! We ran into lots of issues trying to show up together to design and implement super high quality programming, run a business as a new team, take care of a lot of people in crisis {including ourselves and each other}, and learn and grow somehow through it all. By the end of the year, we felt like we had done a great job in many ways {people in our cohorts were saying their lives had been changed and they were forever grateful!}, but also that we had dropped a lot of balls and caused harm to ourselves and others. So this year, we are taking a break from running our 9 month cohorts and focusing on being together in restorative circles, reconceptualizing and redesigning our school, and helping out with local community and activism needs, in particular in support of the local Native efforts to have their tribal sovereignty recognized federally.

We still need to get a roof on our pavilion this fall, and we really want to connect with all of our beloved friends and school members, so we will be offering some community work days here as well as opportunities via Zoom and in person to gather and think/dream together about the future of our school and how Wildwood can show up in the best way for this next phase of our existence.

If you feel called to support us to do this behind~the~scenes work and to re~emerge in a new form… or to get a roof for our community structure~!, you are welcome to donate money, materials, prayers, or the work of your hands in support of our work and rest. We appreciate everyone so much and can’t wait to be in touch and see you when the stars align!
